Hello blog readers! The other day, I visited an insane asylum! Well, what used to be one. This massive estate of buildings was built in 1885 in Traverse City, Michigan to house patients in need of care. It was really interesting to tour around it and learn about its history. Obviously, the state redid all of the buildings and repaired everything to safe standards for modern life. They turned the basement levels into merchant shops and the upper levels into yoga studios, insurance offices, and even apartments. I don't know if I would like to live there... just walking through the basement gave me the heebie-jeebies. They had old asylum wheelchairs here and there which just added to the creepiness. However, there were so many charming little shops I simply had to stop in.
As I wandered through the basement corridors of the building, I stumbled upon a natural beauty shop. I got really excited because aromatherapy and natural healing really interest me. Here are some snapshots I got of this cute little shop.
They had all sorts of products: serums, lotions, creams, oils, soaps, powders, and salves. They even set out a series of "try-me" samples for you to test out the products for yourself. I was smelling mighty floral-y when I walked out!
Look at all of the soaps! I stood here quite a while smelling all of the delicious smells. I've never seen so many bars of soap in one place at once!
I had never heard of emu oil before I found this shop. Apparently it's very beneficial for the skin.
Thanks for reading!

Tbh Ethan said you've been seeing a shrink for years for all your "problems" At least there is good shopping a and lots of fun soap.
ReplyDeleteI don't see a psychologist for "problems." That was very disrespectful for your to say. If you're going to try to bring someone down behind an anonymous user box, do it elsewhere because I won't tolerate it.
